Dear members,
You are invited to a very special event on Tuesday 28th June 2011 to celebrate 135 years of the Mothers’ Union as well as your special celebrations.
“Come & Celebrate” will take place at the Boniface Centre, Crediton from 1- 4pm beginning with a service in the form of a “Songs of Praise” with hymns, readings, prayers and MU cameos. This is to be an event to raise money for Overseas as well as involving yourselves in the event.
There will be a Raffle, a Pound Stall for your gifts to be sold at £1, and Bring & Share cup cakes. Please make some cup cakes or fairy cakes and bring them for the tea afterwards. If you would like to decorate them for a competition, decorate then in one of three categories
1) 1) Funniest 2) Prettiest 3) MU theme. There will be prizes awarded.
If you are celebrating a ‘0’ or ‘5’ birthday or Anniversary and would like your favourite hymn included, please fill in the details below.
The afternoon will end with light refreshments and hopefully we will have raised some money for Cakes for Brakes Appeal – transport for our Overseas workers. Tickets are £3 and include tea and light refreshments.
